Requirements
- A completed Visa prepaid application form.
- A copy of a valid National ID, passport or driver’s license.
- For foreign applicants: a residence permit, work permit or entry visa.
- One recent passport-sized photo.
- A mobile number registered in the applicant’s name.
How to Request

- Enter your basic details.
- Pay the UGX 50,000 card fee using an available payment method.
- Bring the required documents to the Maqam Travels office.
- Complete and sign the application form, then collect your card.

- Visit the Maqam Travels office with the required documents.
- Pay the UGX 50,000 card fee by cash, mobile money or another accepted method.
- Complete and sign the application form.
- Collect your card.
Your card will be ready in less than 30 minutes once your documents, payment and completed application have been verified. The card fee covers issuance only. Load additional funds for purchases and other transactions.

Fees & Charges
The Maqam Visa Prepaid Card costs UGX 50,000. This fee is automatically deducted from the first funds loaded onto your card. If you pay through Maqam’s payment options, our team loads that payment onto your card. The card issuance fee is then deducted automatically.
